In the team of one of our stores, you will become a competent merchandise professional and ambassador of the METRO brand with the training as a sales assistant (m/f/d).
TO THE VACANT TRAINING POSITIONS
TRAINING LOCATION
You will learn in a METRO or METRO GASTRO wholesale store and, of course, at the vocational school.
DURATION OF TRAINING
2 years with the option of upgrading to retail sales assistant (m/f/d) in an additional year with good academic and practical training to become a sales assistant (m/f/d).
SCHOOL-LEAVING QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
We require a secondary school leaving certificate, secondary modern school leaving certificate or comparable qualification for this training.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT DURING YOUR TRAINING
During your training as a sales assistant (m/f/d), you will be active in all important departments of one of our wholesale markets. This will give you a comprehensive and deep insight into customer advice and merchandise knowledge. With such a large assortment, there is a lot to discover. After you have become familiar with all work processes and the organisational structure of your training store in the first year of training, you will choose a focal department in which you will deepen your expertise in the second year.

- Work in all departments (food and non-food) of a wholesale store

- Presentation of goods and sales
- 1-year placement in a focal department to deepen your knowledge of products and customer needs
